Anyone here have experience with these things? My sister wants to replace her computer (old school Intel lynnfield i5) with something much smaller because she doesn't have much room on her table to spare. Her budget is hovering around $1000 cad.

I've spec'd a m-ITX build with the Node 202 case and that was roughly $1100 with integrated graphics too so if the NUCs aren't a bit cheaper than that, I probably wouldn't try to push it to her. I also looked at the Hades Canyon stuff, but holy ball sacks they're expensive.

Is that the one with an integrated Vega iGPU? They looked pretty cool for form factor and performance but as you stated, price.

I considered a NUC and had some spare parts for one at one point but it seems like you pay a lot for anything over a base Celeron/Pentium unit.

Plus points for mounting on the back of a monitor via VESA, however.

Those things on their website even on sale start at $900 cad and come with horrible specs for $900.
